Two paths

It happened again, this weekend we had both of these pictures come to reality. On one side we had a guy that came here did everything he could to get back on his feet got a job worked on getting things taken care of and getting back home. He did all the right things, he knew exactly what he needed to do. He knew what he wanted to do and he did it! We all hope and pray that everything still works, and he does everything he needs to do to maintain that house! The men are good men, they want for themselves and a lot of times they want for others even more.

Now the flipside of the coin, a man will come in. We do everything we can for them. They do everything they can for themselves up until they can’t. At that point, they make a decision they don’t wanna be here any longer. They wanna live on their own. They want to be able to do the things they’ve always done and hope for something different to happen. But the reality is, it’s not going to the reality is they’re gonna be back in the same situation. I’m not gonna stop a guy who wants to go out and live his own life. I will discourage the negative decisions at all cost, but you are the keeper of your own path.

My prayer today on this Sunday, is that both of these men do everything they can to be true successes. The one that’s in his home he continues to flourish and find the way to live a great life! The one that walked out and is heading back to the street, there’s always another day. There’s always tomorrow!

Yesterday is the past we can’t go back. We cannot change it, the future is tomorrow. I don’t really know what’s going to happen. But today today is a gift. It is a gift because it is the present. Except your gift and enjoy it every single day! One of the guys told me this and it really stuck with me and I love it! Today is a gift and I hope the guy that walks out the door accepts the gift for what it is.
